Why a browser extension?

Instagram's comment box only loads more comments when that specific pane is scrolled, so most exporters stop around 20–25 comments. This runs the same reliable backend as the web tools, but right where you're browsing: open a post, click once, and the whole thread — or a profile's whole grid of posts — comes back as a spreadsheet.

Free tier: 100 rows per lookup, 20 lookups an hour per IP. Need more? Get the API →

FAQ

How do I download all comments from an Instagram post or reel?

Install this Instagram comment exporter, open the post or reel, click the icon and press Export. It scrolls the whole comment thread and hands you a CSV or JSON — not just the first 20 comments most tools stop at.

How do I export all posts from an Instagram profile?

Open the profile, click the extension, switch to the Posts tab and export. You get the grid as a spreadsheet: URL, date, likes, comments, views and caption for each post.

Can I download the photos and videos from a post?

Yes. Open a post or reel, click the extension and switch to the Media tab. It lists every photo and video in the post — including each carousel slide — with a Download button per file and a Download all button. Public posts only.

Is the Instagram comment exporter extension free?

Yes. It's free and open-source, running on the free hammadi.dev backend, which caps each lookup at 100 rows and 20 lookups an hour per IP. For unlimited volume, use the API.

Do I need an Instagram account or login?

No. It only reads public posts and profiles, with no login, and the account you look up is never notified. Private accounts can't be read by any tool.

Which browsers does it work in?

Chrome, Edge, Brave and any other Chromium-based browser. It's a Manifest V3 extension.
